I'm Emily, New Yorker by way of West Virginia - so my southern spirit has a bit of a welcome edge. 

 

I grew up in a small town with a dreamy family. Lots of dance recitals or swim meets followed by celebratory dinners and twilight hours in the backyard giggling with my parents and baby sister.

 

I became an actor because I love to pretend and escape; I have a lot of empathy; I enjoy the work.

 

I followed my passions to West Virginia University where I received my BFA and a minor in Dance. The acting studio program gave me the greatest foundation and a future husband.

 

The New York chapter has been chock-full of adventure and friendships, endless acting classes (with friends that are family now), perfectly placed ups and downs, marriage (best wedding ever, truly), a career blooming in television, 20+ audiobooks and the arrival of the ultimate dog.

 

When I'm not auditioning or on sets, I'm enjoying the city with my favorite person on planet earth (my husband, Vance), playing fetch on our rooftop with Margot or laughing until I cry at America’s Funniest Home Videos.
